in God's eyes and the eyes of the people. Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Run to God! Run from evil!
give him the first and the best.
Read with me cover-to-cover in 2025. Start the Old & New Testaments together on January 1. About 3 chapters per day. About 15 minutes of your day. Join us as the axe of Biblical Love thaws the frozen parts (66LL) in our hearts. My focus in 2025 is counseling yourself from the Word. We average 60,000 thoughts per day. Take courage. Talk to yourself from Truth. I am more emotional and pensive and overly-sensitive than most. I need to know how to truly live.
the more you get, the less you are.
ReplyDeleteGod gives out Wisdom free,
Trust God from the bottom of your heart;don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't lose your grip on Love and Loyalty.
Run to God. Run from evil.
Don't walk around with a chip on your shoulder,
For the past few days, I haven't been in a very good place. Little things set me off. My priorities seems skewed. Sometimes it's as simple as The Message bopping me over the head and saying, "Don't walk around with a chip on your shoulder." But He doesn't stop there. He says "Don't lose your grip on love and loyalty." Wise words that may or may not turn my circumstances around, but I know they'll turn my heart back to Him and on the trail not the tumbleweeds!
"Well, you've made your bed—now lie in it;
ReplyDeleteyou wanted your own way—now, how do you like it?"
I want to read this in the NIV version because I just don't like the sounds of it. I've often wondered if God punishes and I don't like it. I am going to go read the other version. I sense a conviction here! ... Yep, it wasn't much better. I have made a lot of decisions in my life without asking God first. I didn't listen and now I'm paying the price. I'm lying in the bed I made. Hopefully I can learn to bring God Glory and He can make me Holy and I can learn the lessons He's trying to teach me.
I'm looking forward to Proverbs and the Wisdom. I may need to read it in the NIV version!
Annette, thanks for sharing your heart. The truth is for me I am where you desicribed as well. It is amazing how I can be walking around with a chip on my shoulder and not even know it until maybe my husband or another precious friend in love might reveal it to me. Thank you Annette for helping me remember to Run to God and Run From Evil.
ReplyDeleteAng, As I read your comment I just remember this, everyone is part of God's creation, therefore everyone is on their Plan A from God. We may not like what Plan A is but it is necessary for me to experience so I can grow the character God purposed in me when he created me before the world began. That was not difficult to write and then when I think about my life since January I am screaming OUCH! at Plan A...yet even still I can see I am better as I chose to persevere God is always faithful to this faithless sometimes faithful sojourner. Ang, you are not alone. Read which ever version helps you the most to KNOW God.
CiCi, you describe so well what I desire from God as I read through Psalms and The Message. Thanks for sharing your heart with me today.
