July 10 ... Psalm 133 - 139 "Are People Attracted to My Flesh"

Psalm 135 God, you'll never be out-of-date. God, you stand up for your people.  God, you hold my hand through this wedding day.  Psalm 136 Your Love will never quit.  Psalm 137 We cried and cried and cried... Psalm 138 Thank You for what You have done!  Everything in me says "Thank You!"  Angels listen as I sing my thanks.  I kneel in worship this wedding morn.  Thank you for Your Love.  Most Holy is Your Name.  The moment I called out, You stepped in; You made my life large with Strength.  Would you do it again this day for all of us.  Make our lives a little larger.  And where people are attracted to our flesh, reveal to us the way of escape to let You step in.  Finish what you started in me, God...and in Annette, another wedding mom.  And help us to be open books to you that we share the thoughts and intentions of our heart. Psalm 139 We cannot begin to count Your Thoughts any more than we can count all the sands of the sea.  Let us rise this wedding morning and live for You.  Wake us all up.  Alive in You and not alive in our flesh.  What is about our lives that attract people to our flesh?  Dead to self.  Alive in You!

  1. "Goin' to the chapel and we're gonna get married..."

I woke up singing this old 60's song by the Dixie Cups, thinking of Blair and her special day. I pray God's hand will be all over this wedding. Just rejoicing with
    the Brandons today!

Bev, may God hold you tenderly this day. I pray you will sense His presence in a special way.

So glad we are adding new 'pearls' to our strand! Welcome everyone!!

I'm out of town and will try to catch up on my reading.

    Love all of you!

  2. Yes! Bev, you are my hero...of the earthly kind.
What a walking bundle of God's Fruit you are! I have a visual of you, Bev, and don't laugh because this is so beautiful...

You are God's fruitful Chiquita...you are crowned with the fruits of the Holy Spirit. And you are sharing them with all of us in abundance.

I declare this marriage of your daughter and soon to be son-in-love as God's Victory of Love in their lives. I rejoice that they both will see Him as their Covering. I pray that the enemy will lose all battles he tries to engage with them. I pray that the Spirit will enclose them with Rock-Solid Armor. I pray that Christ will be the Rock of Foundation their home is built on. May they both have spiritual discernment to protect each other and keep their vows HOLY. Oh, how beautiful God's plan for Holy Matrimony is in this day of anything goes! Lord, in heaven, high and lifted up, I ask You and You Alone to bless this marriage and protect it with Your hedge of protection. How kind You are to bring a helpmate into Blair's life! She has been through so much and now she has a man to share life with...good and not-so-good. May they live to see their lives fruitful in the lives of their children and grand-children. We trust You, Lord, for this is Your Work to accomplish. In Jesus Name. Amen.

  3. I pray with Deborah and Forever Grateful this morning for the Brandons, for Blair and Bev especially. On your beautiful daughter's wedding day, you place God at the head of your day and your life. How that must make God smile. Praying with you for them. We all know how difficult marriage is-some of us more tender and battered than others right now. And as so often is the case, that place calls forth a prayer that brings tears to my eyes, as evidence of His presence all over you, Deborah. We pray together today for Blair and her husband, in Spirit and in Truth, much blessing for all the Brandons on Blair's wedding day! Love you dear friend!

Psalm 136:26 - "Thank God, who did it all! His love never quits!

  4. "he slew mighty kings—
Sihon king of the Amorites, also Og of Bashan—
every last one of the Canaanite kings!"

As I read this passage of scripture, I remember reading in our earlier books of Israel about Og. His bed was 15 ft long and 9 ft wide \___________/ !!!

Our Good God slays giants...in real life.

And our Good God slays giants in our lives today...still.

I have three smooth stones in my leather pouch. I use them to destroy my giants.

    1. Faith is one stone. I believe God. I trust Him. He gets the Victory.

    2. Hope is my second stone. I will not give up. I will not back down. I weep forward when I need to battle giants. I tremble but I know God is HUGE and He is with me.

    3. Love is my third stone. My secret weapon in slaying giants. Love is stronger than hate.
It shields the arrows of the enemy.
It covers sensitive areas open to attack.
It lifts when everything else crushes.
    It never fails.

Singing with you today, Sylvia! Singing a Song of Songs...

Our beautiful God has brought us into His Chamber.
    Song of Songs 1:4

    Draw me after thee.
    We will make haste.
The king hath brough me into his chambers.
    We will be glad and rejoice in thee;
We will remember thy love more than wine.
    The upright love thee.

May we all feel Him today as the One who battles for us. We are His bride. He gave His life for us so that we can spend eternity with Him.

  5. I left a personal comment to you all (at least I think I did) on yesterday's post about today's wedding. Father-of-the-Bride marries his little girl tonight. I also just posted about it on my blog: http://beverly-brandon.blogspot.com

I have tears streaming down my face. Repentant tears. Joyful tears.
Tears of gratitude for each of you for waiting in hope with me for our Beautiful God to show up.

Something about weddings that make you reflect and I woke up bawling this morning wrestling with how I could have done things differently to not "miss" my children. But that smacks that I could do it right, doesn't it? And no one can. Deeply appreciate your prayers this day as we witness our daughter's vows before a Holy God, in His Presence. Love you all. Bev
