Psalm 36: 5-6
God's love is meteoric,
His loyalty astronomic,
His purpose titanic,
His verdicts oceanic.
Yet in His largeness
nothing gets lost;
Not a man,
Not a mouse,
slips through the cracks.
Psalm 37:7
Quiet down before God,
be prayerful before him.
Don't bother with those who climb the ladder,
who elbow their way to the top.
C. S. Lewis wrote: In my childhood I chose safety but as an adult, I chose suffering. As we learn to quiet our souls before Him and indeed live a quiet life, may we embrace our suffering and not hide nor long for safety.
Thanks everyone for your love and support!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnnette called me this morning and wanted me to let you all know that they found Abby and she is safe. They got the news right before they left! God is good! She appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers. I'm SO happy for her and know she is relieved! Now she can go and enjoy this very special week ahead!
Much love,
Angie xoxo
I am so glad they found Abby!
ReplyDeleteLet us know how your "tree" house is progressing, Angie!
One of the neatest things I've seen this spring was the guys who came to cut down some pine trees VERY close to my house. I hope you get the pleasure of watching the skill of tree surgeons. They are amazing!
Father, Holy Father,
ReplyDeleteHappy Father's Day!
Today I've read your love letters to me and I am just so very thankful to call you my Daddy.
I love how You know me.
I love how You trust me.
I love how You listen to me.
I love how You are so patient with me.
I love how You've known me forever.
I treasure the love You have shown me and the way You are revealing things to me right now about my suffering and how it fits in Your plan for my life.
Father, thank You for these 66 Love Letters. Each one is a treasure to me. Thank You for Dr. Crabb and the way You have blessed me through this book. Thank You for Eugene Peterson and The Message Bible. I love that You are Oceanic! Titanic! What a dream You are to me...
And dear Father, thank You so much for the group of women here. For Bev. She is our precious mentor through this book. For each woman who shares and listens. For the way we can celebrate You together. And I thank You for the plans You have for each one of us. Grow us into adults who are not afraid to suffer in the name of our God. We look beyond blessings to suffering. Grow us up in faith. We will trust You. I love You.
Daughter Deborah
