June 16 .. Psalm 17 - 20 "The Morning Altar"

Psalm 18:24   God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.
Psalm 19:13  Keep me from stupid sins, from thinking I can take over your work...accept my words when I place them on the morning altar,

Psalm 20:1 God answers you on the day you crash; the name God-of-Jacob put you out of harm's reach.

"No Guarantees that You'll protect me from bad things or even that You'll heal my insecurities, only that You'll lead me through them to Knowing You better."  66 LL

  1. So happy to be in the Psalms where emotions are freely expressed. Whatever I'm feeling I find it in the Psalms.

We are in full wedding mode these next few days. I can't wait to get back and show you some pics. (sorry Ang, I didn't figure out how to Skype the wedding for you all!)

Anyway, blessings to everyone and I'll be back with a newly married daughter and an "adopted" grandson when we return. We'd really appreciate your prayers. I'll miss you all. Love, Annette

  3. Many prayers for a glorious wedding event with nothing but clear skies and stress-free times. Enjoy every tear. I know you will be leaking them all over the place...

Ahh. The Psalms. From The Message Bible.

How beautiful to read them with all of you and feel the visual expressions of the emotions David and the other writers express.

It was hard to pick out a special verse that touched me, all of these were hitting me in my heart.

But Psalm 19. So RICH. So milky-way smooth! So commercial-free broadcasting of how brilliant God's Word is!

These messages are a love letter straight from God. Even the ones that turn God loose on the enemies to the psalm writer's live.

    So human.
    So dramatic.
    So God-breathed.

Can we take a moment and just think about spending eternity with people like David...?

    Better than diamonds...
I feel romance in the psalms. Love letters from God that are like a wooing.

  4. Praying for you Annette. You have a beautiful mother's heart. As you watch your daughter take her vows before a holy God, may HE stir some beautiful things in you as you "let go" of your girl and give her to God and her new husband. Aw. I think Lauren will be a beautiful bride! Praying all goes well!

  5. Annette, there's still time to figure it out! Just kidding!

Let me take this opportunity to tell you that Liam is one blessed little boy to have you and Mike as grandparents. I wish I had words to express what I feel about this. There is no better gift. I know first hand how divorce tears kids up. I get so sick of people saying that kids will adapt. They don't! But, God really does work all things out for the good and since his family had to be broken, I believe Liam couldn't be in better hands than with you, Mike, Lauren, Lindsay & Andrew and Greg in his life. It makes me smile just knowing. Thank you from this mom!

    I love you,
    Angie xoxo

p.s. We all can't wait for pictures! I'll be praying!
