"Personal Advantage at the Expense of Others" 1 Chronicles 13-15; John 7:1-27

When siblings bicker and don't pursue each other, it really hurts a momma.  How did Mary feel?  What was she thinking?  Her own children were disgusted with their brother, Jesus.  They wanted him to show the world what he could do.  Go to the Festivals and do your thing.  Don't just do it in secret in Galilee. Seems like the brothers were promoting their own present advantage, citing for Jesus to do this in a larger world and gain larger advantages.  And there is that verse, John 7:5, that even his brothers did not really believe Jesus.  Mary sees all this, knowing who He truly is.  What did this momma do?  And what do I do when my children live distrusting and detached?  What about me when I live for personal advantages at the expense of others?
