Dear Kids,
Should you then seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them. Jer 45:5
What is the point here? What is the motive?
Ruin was everywhere in the Jewish nation;
Ruin is everywhere in our American nation.
A Sovereign God is pulling things, breaking things up, mixing things up.
Where things are not certain, not much---why should we make our goal to seek great?
In this season of their day, of our lives, dare we desire to find our honor in this world.
Dare we dream to make wealth our goal. "It is absurd for thee to be now painting thy own cabin" when all about you, things are falling apart, while people move around so empty in this life.
Do not seek the great things in times like these.
For you are safe. Wherever you go, so the Word goes, you will be safe.
