October 28 "Wordless Groans" Romans 7, 8

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. Romans 8:18-19.

And the Spirit Himself intercedes for me in wordless groans. Romans 8:26.  That is so dear.
We are never left to ourselves in all our infirmities---from Job to Paul.  Many.  Terrific trials.
"The Holy Spirit is the spring of all desires toward God, which are often more than words can utter" right smack dab in the middle of what we face this day.

Nothing can come between our soul and glory.
We stand slapjacked in sheer awe.  Swallowed up in mid-air.
Wondering about all this height and depth, length and breadth
of the Love of Christ.

DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE ME IN 10,000 GROANS.  That I may See You between my soul and Glory.  That I may wonder about all this height and depth of your love; about the length and breadth of your love.  That I may hear and speak wordless groans.

  1. His "wholly other" beauty continues to be revealed. In every trial, every slight, every detail that I think should have gone another way...He can be found. He is there, unveiling the hidden beauty and magnificence, ministering to our souls in the dark. I am not in that place this day, but I remember times that I wouldn't trade the suffering hour for anything for the closeness and the fellowship that I experienced with my Jesus. So thankful for the "with us" Lord--Emmanuel. And that is my prayer for anyone who reads this: The Lord be with you in every hour, every need, and may we be fully aware of His sweet presence.
