August 15 "Competing With Horses" Jeremiah 10-13

Jeremiah prays:
"Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own;
it is not for them to direct their steps.
Discipline me, Lord, but only in due measure—
not in your anger,
or you will reduce me to nothing." Jer 10:23-24

God answers:
"If you have raced with men and they have worn you out,
How can you compete with horses?" Jer 12:5

DEAR GOD, IN ALL THESE 10,000 MOMENTS, MAY THIS WORD RING TRUE IN MY LIFE.  I am not my own.  You will direct these steps of mine.  You will discipline me only in due.  You will never reduce me to nothing.  Never.  May I compete with the horses today.
