The strongest men in Israel and Judah place their full confidence in David.
Even the relatives of Saul threw their vote the way of David.
And these verses show why: David was especially tender toward the dangers these leaders faced in behalf of his country. Pour out like water anything that puts you in harm's way. David knew God was with him, protecting him and all those he led. God forbid that we should benefit from what others risked their lives for.
"Should I drink the blood of these men
who went at the risk of their lives?" I Chronicles 11:19
DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE ME IN MY 10,000 MOMENTS because I never know when the day may come that I am asked to rise up. Father, help us today right where we live to give honor to those who sacrifice for us.
