February 22 "Commissioned" Numbers 26-27

Moses layed hands on Joshua in front of the whole community of millions!  You will lead this army of Israelites into the Promised Land.  The one that Moses sees with his eyes but won't touch with his feet.  Because God will not let Moses walk in there.  And Moses' honest humble genuine caring other-centered response:

“May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community . . . so the Lord’s people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.” Numbers 27:16-17

DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE ALL OF US IN THESE 10,000 MOMENTS OF OURS:  Paul Tripp said it on January 1st of this year.  And I cannot forget it.  We have opportunities this day to change.  May we not miss the mark.
