January 21 "Keep Vigil" Exodus 10-12

None of the ordinances of the Jewish church were more eminent than the Passover.

None of the providences of God toward the Jewish church were more illustrious than the Deliverance of the children of Israel out of Egypt.  John Calvin.  

"Because the Lord kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the Lord for the generations to come." Exo 12:42

DEAR GOD, PLEASE CHANGE US IN ONE OF OUR 10,000 MOMENTS,  This historic moment of Passover vigil descends on all of us today.  This night and day may we keep vigil to honor You.  May we rise up for what is right.  May we bow down in humble worship of our own deliverance.
