A String of Pearls

July 11 "God Has Roared" Amos 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Another prophet in the picture.
While Isaiah is dealing with his strongholds, Amos is saying this:

The lion has roared;
who will not fear?
The Lord God has spoken;
who can but prophesy?”
Amos 3

So speak to to those strongholds.
They must go.
They have no hold on me.
Wrestle well.

You know what is right to do.

COME BOLDLY:  Timeless Prayers
O Father, may we hear your Voice saying this is the way walk in it.  May we grasp a little more deeper this day that You are roaring in our lives for goodness, for justice, for love.

PHOTO:  Santa Rosa Island.  In those quiet moments today, may we move to do away with the strong holds on all our lives.  Those strongholds that stop the very blood flow of life to us.

  1. Dear Pearls, another week another blood test. This one came back with all of my levels normal. I am to go back on Tuesday and have another one and then I am supposing if that one is normal, I am to contact my cardiologist and give them the results and then we will see from there where I go. I will admit this waiting room has been no fun. And it has not been that long of a waiting room, just being honest. So it appears I will not have the time to go to TX to see my daughter and her family, for school starts here on August 3 and their school in TX starts two weeks later and I will be needed here for my son's boys, those first weeks are so hectic with getting back into the routine. Hope deferred does make the heart sad but I know that He is in control and not me. Thank you for your prayers.

    1. Waiting is no fun. I am so sorry the timing has been such that you cannot get to your daughter's home, too. I continue to lift you up for healing, and peace in the wait. I am adding a prayer for favor to get to see your daughter and grandchildren very soon in good health! Love and prayers, Annette

  2. Praying for you Mary Lou. Today's reading reminds me how far our country has fallen away from God. People protesting the immigration crisis, people advocating for things that are displeasing to the Lord, America seems to sitting by as Israel may be ready to send in ground troops to attack Hamas.

    But then as it seems the dark clouds are covering the entire sky - we know He has won - the Daystar Whose light will never be extinguished.

  3. Mary Lou, I am so sad your trip has been postponed. May the Sun of Righteousness bring healing. Not just words on a paper but deep healing of all of our hearts.

  4. You asked about my full body scan. Still a no for me. Pain is constant but not any worse. Don't quite know what to do. I visited a specialist the day before I left on this trip. Everything there turned out normal. Even had 2 more sonograms. Not sure. Trusting in deep darkness. I have more problems than just my tailbone. This trip has revealed some things in my heart through the quickening of the Word of God. May God move in all our lives! Thank you so much for asking and caring.
