June 8 "Commit to the Lord" Proverbs 16-18

The plans of the heart belong to man,
but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord.
All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes,
but the Lord weighs the spirit.
Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established.
Proverbs 16:1-3.

There are just things I cannot understand yet I follow, I trust.

And I want with all my heart to engage to envelop two foundational truths from Proverbs penned by Crabb in 66LL:
Truth #1: "The wisdom God offers is the wisdom by which He made the world, what little we can receive. God made life to work only if lived according to His Design."
Truth #2:  "We will hear and live God's Wisdom only if first we fear God and fall before Him in desperate terror and draw near in trusting awe."

COME BOLDLY:  Timeless Prayers
Father, we lay in Your Powerful Hands all of our plans and hopes and thoughts and wonderings.  It is Yours.

  1. So much wisdom and life in these words of Proverbs. Solomon knew this:

(16:16) "How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver."

And not wisdom in our own eyes, but authentic understanding from God:

(16:25) "There is a way that seems right to a man,
but its end is the way to death."

Pearls of life secrets shared with us today. . . Especially those on gracious words. . .

Oh, Lord. You are so merciful to us! Establish our plans, Lord. Ground them in Your Righteousness. Bless us with the light of understanding. Amen.

  2. Just love your comment. You know, when I read today's reading, I thought: There is so much here. I was stunned how much. Still thinking about the psalm from the other day that said His Word is our counselor. Every day. Every circumstance. "Get understanding."

  5. Tonight, I feel okay right now but I'm going through bouts where I do not feel well at all and today was one of them. Not sure if it's all the tests they are putting me through or what? Would you be so kind to represent me to the Only One Who can help me right now. Judges 6:12. I'm really struggling through this physically and the symptoms are painful. So hard cause I want to get up and go but I cannot. Appreciate your prayers that I let the Word counsel me as these next days unfold. My love to all. Not sure who is reading right now and that's okay if you don't answer.

  6. Reading this late but I continue to pray for you, Bev. Hope by now you are feeling some better and have gotten good test results? I can't remember the name of the drug like Tamoxifin that you are taking but the regimen was 5 years for me and they were concerned that longer periods were not effective. They also insisted on bone density testing as it messed with calcium in the bones.
