June 6 "No Record of Wrongs" Proverbs 10-12

"Love covers all offenses."
Proverbs 10:12

"It is by loving
and not by being loved
that one can come
nearest to the soul of another."

George MacDonald

If I love someone enough, I am going to overlook the offenses.  As though I did not see when I really did, quite well.  You know when you are quite finished with another, small love, when every little thing that they do does not sit well with you.  Love is not bothered like this.  Love overlooks.

Scripture interprets Scripture.  I Cor. 13:5 - Love is not self-seeking.  Love is not easily angered.  Love keeps no record of wrongs.  Always protects.  Always trusts.  Always hopes.  Always perseveres.

COME BOLDLY:  Timeless Prayers
Dear Father, when I read about how love is not easily angered, then I wonder if I have really loved.  Where there is little love in my life, would you expose the self-seeking; would you impose the selfless life; would you infuse me by Your Power.  Oh, to love like this!

PHOTO:  A bridge over stirring waters.  What stirs within me tonight as I read these lines about love.  Am I more concerned about loving others than about being loved?  Am I easily angered?  Am I bothered a little too much in the presence of those with their own little love?

  1. Tomorrow I go in for a full body bone scan, 2 ultrasounds, 1 catscan, an X-ray, and a bi-lateral mammorgram. I think they think something is out of skelter. Please pray. Haven't heard from some of you lately so you may not read this. I just love the quote I ran into yesterday and it reminds me of you: "Few delights can equal the presence of one whom we trust utterly." George MacDonald. I have so appreciated being able to be on here with you all and deeply appreciate your friendship and trust. Bev

  2. Will be (am right now, too) praying for you as you go through tests. I know how that can create such fear, and I pray for your peace throughout, as well as excellent healthy results. Love and hugs, Annette

PS We are off to vacation through next week, but I will check for updates here and send me a text if you need anything...

  3. I read every day, just don't post,I am keeping up with you. I will pray now. Can't believe they are doing that many tests on one day much less a Saturday. Never have known anyone having that many tests in one day. I will pray for you during the day. I will ask Him to bring you to mind and He will. You said something about calling me when you got back from Seattle....please do not feel like you have to do that.My problem seems so insignificant compared to having all of those tests. Sounds as though the Doctors are wanting to be very thorough and I don't think they are going to miss anything by doing all of those tests. Praying for you......

  4. It was my decision to have all the tests done at the same time. Not so much urgency as convenience for me. Oncologist is trying to rule out bone cancer and find the origin of pain.
