He walked smack dab right into his very own sin.
Nadab.
And he led a whole kingdom to do the same. Sin.
Serious.
This Bible we read is chocked full of real stories.
Real.
People who choose evil and walk in their sin.
Foolish.
And people who choose good and walk in God's way.
Narrow.
I Chron 15:26 Nadab walked in his own sin and made Israel to do the same.
There's a verse in Jeremiah that says that we may think
we are doing marvelous things.
But God does not think it is marvelous.
"It may seem marvelous to the remnant of the people
but will it seem marvelous to God?" Zech 8:6
COME BOLDLY: Timeless Prayers
Dear God, Do our lives seem marvelous to You? Nothing else matters, truly. Would You give us eyes to see if we are remaining in our sin. Father, help us move to a better place for what lurks in those unredeemed moments. Come LORD Jesus. Help us all!

I love this: His heart was courageous in the ways of the Lord. And furthermore, he took the high places and the Asherim out of Judah.
ReplyDeleteMay we be courageous in the ways of the Lord and take down any high places which have crept into our lives.
Would appreciate prayer, Having a heart ablation tomorrow. My heart was in Afib this years go and I had a cardioversion which got it back into sinus rhythm and I have felt fine then. One of the downsides of it not being in right rhythm i that you get very very tired, Well, it has been in Afib for quite a while now. This procedure should fix it for a great deal longer, maybe till I draw my last breath, It is not invasive surgery, but I am put to sleep. Do have to spend the night for observation. I would appreciate your prayers. This is only the fourth time in 66 years that I have been put to sleep. God has shown me that He has indeed gone before me and is coming behind me. Thank you, facing the challenges that God has put before me. He is using ALL things for my good.
ReplyDeletePrayers and hugs for you, Mary Lou! I've heard it is really tiring to deal with this, and I bet a little scary when it's your heart. You testify to His Goodness over and over here and yours is a beautiful heart that serves Him sweetly. I will be praying for you for all to go well and for skill for the doctor's hands, for your protection and healing. May He comfort you in knowing He is ever present with you throughout. Blessings and love, Annette
ReplyDeleteThank you. Bless you.

ReplyDeletePrayer warriors, I did not get to have the ablation yesterday. My white count was too high. I had been fighting a UTI and they assumed it would be cleared up by Friday and I would be good to go. Of course the predisone I was taking to combat the dye allergy I have, also raises your white count. So,after being prepped and waiting for over two hours...it was a no go.Prayerfully, it will happen on the 11th of July. Having another blood test on Tuesday to see if white count has gone down to where it can be scheduled for the 11th...that is the next date the doctor can do it at the hospital where my insurance will pay. Bless you for your prayers. It was a BIG disappointment, but we both have His amazing peace that passes all understanding. God is good and God is good all of the time. Had so looked forward to feeling like a new woman this morning, instead of the same old tired one I am feeling. Bless you again for praying.
