Pitch black and Solomon hears the Voice of God responding to his prayer.
It took Solomon 7 years and it was done. A house for God. Finished. Built in all its Glory.
And God shows up in total darkness, at night, and says: "I have heard your prayer."
That one sentence so makes me want to go pray.
He is listening to our every word, every thought before it is even spoken.
And I just started crying. Because.
Solomon prayed. And it was a beautiful prayer of dedication.
All about God's Providence, God's Perfect Grace.
No one had ever built a house for God. This was known throughout the nation.
When there is no rain in our land, in my life.

When the locust devour the land, and my life.
When the pestilence is sent from God to the people, to my life.
"If my people who are called by My Name humble themselves,
and pray and seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven and
then I will forgive their sin and
then I will heal their land."
2 Chron 7:13-14
God's Eyes are Open; His Ears are Attentive to prayers made.
Stand tall and let Him lift our head.
Sin No More and let Him fill our empty hearts.
Fear the One we should.
Believe the Word that is so near.
Hope in the Mercy of God.
Walk in His Ways, the narrow path.
With our hands over our mouths, in awe of this Beautiful God!
Give Thanks.
COME BOLDLY: Timeless Prayers
Father, start with me. Prompt this heart of mine to deal with my sinful ways. Hear us this day. We believe, hope, fear, and give thanks. Heal this heart of mine. We humbly bow our hearts together and ask with words to heal our land.

X-rays, ultrasounds, scans, tumor markers, and mammogram all came back today NORMAL. I shouldn't hold my breath because life is God not health. But I sure can pray like crazy. He hears! I could not do the full body bone scan and backed out of it. It will have to be. Going for a second opinion to an orthopedic for significant pain in my bones that remain. Deeply appreciate your prayers.
ReplyDeleteSaw this news on FB and I was thrilled that all of the markers came back normal. Have not stopped praying for you. Being a grandmother (Nana) is one of the best roles you will enjoy beyond all measure. When Cooper looked up at me on Tuesday and asked me what the doctor had said..my heart melted. To be only nine but to remember and to ask. A lot of adults don't remember to ask that question. He has a million dollar smile too....and a pretty good pout too. (ha, ha).
DeletePraying for you, Bev.
ReplyDeleteThank y'all so much. Something's not right. So far, the tests are all in the normal range. Hope this pain is short lived and nonchalant. :)
