March 30 "What Flows Out of Me" Judges 1-2

These people did not take care to walk in the way of their fathers. Judges 2:10. "There arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel." Oh! God! To raise up children who will walk in your ways. My prayer for my own children and their children. How could they not pass on to the next generation their walk with God. They could not have been "wholly His" for knowing God slipped through their fingers. May we pass down what burns in our hearts. What these Israelites did was lip service. We will walk with you, God, but we will make covenants with the inhabitants of this new promised land. Judges 1:29. Winking at sin. Compromising values. Loving this life more than we love God. And God responds: "They shall become thorns in your sides." Judges 2:3. We may look good on paper; look good in service; look even better in character---but what flows out of our lives reveals the Beauty of the LORD. What is our passion this day?

COME BOLDLY: Timeless Prayers
Father, Infuse us with your Power that we may truly exchange our lives for what matters most. Wherever we have compromised this day, reveal our intentions and help us deal with what we are doing to make "promises" with the inhabitants of our lives.

PHOTO: The sun sets tonight as I drive a few hundred miles past Waco thinking about passing on to others the Beautiful God Who stirs within. This is not about knowledge but about lives pouring out the Beauty of God because we are so attached to Him and nothing better.
