March 25 "Stand Still My Sun" Joshua 9-11

There has never been a day like it, before or since!  The sun stood still so God could work.  Josh 10:13. "And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies.  The sun was in no hurry for a whole day. Joshua moved to complete the desturction of the enemy.  "The Lord fought for Israel."  Josh 10:14.

It would take a dissertation to explain how the sun stood still.  A miracle from the Hand of God.  The Hand that had the sword drawn.  This miracle gave Israel more light to destroy the Canaanites.  But it did more than that!  For those idolators who worshipped the sun and the moon, this aspersion stood subject to the Sun of Righteousness.  This miracle proved large who was in charge of this world.  When Christ came to conquer his enemies, the miracle wrought was set in reverse.  Christ needed no light to complete His Victory at Calvary.  Darkness was "His Pavilion."  This Light of the World shines into our hearts, this day.

There is no day like today where we may approach the throne of Mercy and ask our God to stand still our own hearts and help us take the next step in the darkness we are in that we may truly see, the Light of the World.

The Light of the World.
The One Who stops the moon.
The One Who shines His Light into our hearts.
Shine, Lord Jesus, Shine in our darkness and dispel it now.
You are the Light of my world.  May I put You Above all good things.  May we all discern this day what we want to have First Place in our lives---only You!
