Such beautiful rhetoric. The day is done. Speak to Aaron and his sons, you know, the ones that are still alive. It's the words from the mouth of God. His Voice. His Love. His Lines.
Go ahead, Aaron, and bless the people with these weighty words. Bless the people 2,000 years down the road.
"The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His Face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the LORD lift up His Countenance upon you and give you peace."
COME BOLDLY: Timeless Prayers
Oh! God, it is the cry of our heart. Bless us. Keep us. Shine Your Face. Be gracious. Lift up Your Looks. Give us peace this day, this circumstance, this relationship, this moment.
PHOTO: My day was done last weekend. I had spent a couple of days at a women's conference, If, and as I left---I literally jumped out of my car to snap this shot with my cell. A shimmering sunset in my heart that even though I struggle immensely, I am at peace where I am.

That is one of my favorite verses to give to people or pray for people. Numbers 6:24-26. Gives such a feeling of peace. Actually, our Pastor has prayed it over the congregation sometimes at the end of a service on Sunday nights.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture. What an awesome and loving God we have to give us such beauty to behold.
It is a beautiful blessing. We prayed those verses (before I knew they were Scripture) in a small circle every Sunday night. I knew it as the MYF (Methodist Youth Fellowship) benediction. Isn't it sweet when a Scripture passage resonates on so many levels in our souls! My friend who is an Episcopal priest says it's that way with Psalm 23. She will start "The Lord is my shepherd..." and even those almost unconscious will say the words with her. The Bible ministers such peace to our hearts. Blessings today, Pearls.
