December 28 "A Place for you" Revelations 13:7

A wilderness.
The place God has for us.
Rev 13:7 - The dragon persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.  So what did God do?  He protected the woman by sending her to the wilderness, the place.  And when the dragon found her there, the place.  The Earth helped the woman.  God, in His Sovereign Will and Domain is protecting us every moment of every day.  Would we think that being sent to our wilderness is the best place for us?

PRAYER FROM PSALMS:
Father, You had someone write long ago this very verse:  The Voice of the LORD shakes the desert.  The Voice of the LORD makes the barren wilderness quake.  O God, would you shake this wilderness we face.  And more than that . . .  open our ears to hear Your Voice in the midst of this barren place.

  1. We are in a cabin in the mountains of Colorado. With my family!!!! It's been one year since we've all been able to be together. I'm beside myself. A trip provided by the Gracious Hand of friends and God. The town is stunning. The view is spectacular. The company makes me spellbound in many ways. Internet connection is patchy so yesterday's got lost and is floating in cyberspace so I just put up another one. Hope today comes through. He is Holy and Awesome!!! Oh! By the way...a call came this morning from a teacher unbelievable friend wanting to give us one of their teen's cars. Last Friday the only car we have died and couldn't be fixed. I didn't say anything to anyone. We walked everywhere over the weekend then left for Christmas. Wondering how on earth we could manage when we got back. In this tiny town, God showed up here. So grateful to Him and to you for your support and prayers! Love!

    1. God is so good to provide, Bev. Glad you are able to get away with your family all together, and that you won't have to worry about a car when you get home! You continue to testify to God's goodness.

    2. So thrilled to hear of the car. Also, the family time is so precious. God has provided for us in so many ways, unexpected and random acts of kindness have been showered upon us.
Both of our younger daughters have been in mild accidents, Amy was fine, April, our youngest was in black ice and God protected her from being hit by other cars on I-75 as she spun into the ice.
She made it home, driving for another 5 hours with a sprung trunk latch and a loud muffler. I mentioned it to my employer the next morning and she volunteered her husband to look at it. He restores cars, and fixed it for free. God is so Good to us. We are no longer afraid of the future, but are looking expectantly and with faith that God has a plan that is best for us.

    3. So thankful to our great God for supplying you with a car.. How wonderful is that. He is honoring you because you have honored Him and given Him the glory when it was due Him. So thankful to Him too that all of you could be together. Having Christmas dinner with my TX folks tonight. My sister is coming too and my son and his two boys...will be a house full and plenty of noise. To be able to skype has been a blessing but to hug necks and feel hands will be so much better. Blessings on your time together. So thankful too that Janet's daughter was not hurt.

  2. Rev 12:10-12 "Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”

The devil knows he has only a short time...the Lord is returning and things will be set right. But it's going to get worse before it gets better. Let us prepare our hearts. Interestingly, nowhere does it say store up in your storehouses food and supplies for this seven year period. The warnings are for our hearts: don't let your heart grow cold. Be an overcomer by testifying to His Word, by covering yourself with salvation through the Blood of the Lamb, by not loving our comforts and our lives here too much. We will triumph through struggle because of this great Provision. And the time is short. A new Day is coming.

Rev. 7:16-17 “Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

  3. Jan, Oh! What a scare! I don't know how we are going to get out of here. It snowed a couple more inches tonight. Snow on top of solid ice in places. We have northern drivers with us. But I'm thinking we are stuck. Can't think of a better place to be stuck. We have plenty of food. So there!
