Isa 63:9 "Lift Me Up & Carry Me" (October 4)

Seems like yesterday, but it was a while ago, I knelt in the living room of Elisabeth Elliot overlooking the Hamilton Bay.  Her words startled me as we prayed to the Living God, our High King.  She said:  "We join the company of saints from the beginning of the world to offer this prayer to You."  God carried all these people from crossing the Jordan to calming the Sea of Galilee to rescuing us this very day.  Lift us up, once again, O Mighty God.

Forsaken.
Desolate.
No More.
"The LORD Delights in You."
Isa 62:4

Watchmen.
Give Him no rest.
In all our affliction,
He was afflicted.
The Angel of His Presence saved us.
In His Love,
He lifted us up and carried us all these days.
Isa 63:9

From of old, no one has heard
or perceived by the ear,
No eye has seen a God besides you
Who acts for those Who wait for Him.
Isa 64:4

We all fade like a leaf.
Rouse yourself to take Hold of Him.
Isa 64:7

Would you please carry these Pearls through This Thing that they embrace?

  1. Even in the ESV (grin) Isaiah is so beautifully written.
We took a quick trip to San Antonio and got away for a few days. Back in the saddle tomorrow...
    Love to you all.
