Heb 2:18 "Pay Much Closer Attention" (October 26)

Is my disposition to that which is righteous
not the sarcastic
not the ceremonious
not the sanctimonious
not the contentious
Underneath all is our fallen nature and and our redeemed nature.
If it were not so, we would all be saints walking around.
It is a process.
Some things are puncticular (a point in time) like
the moment we are saved.
Some things are progressive.
At birth, all our DNA is there. Nothing more will be added.
It will be a process to come to full maturity.

Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. ~ Hebrews 2:1

How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? ~ Hebrews 2:3
Our God is able to help those who are being tempted. ~ Hebrews 2:18

  1. Hmm. Tried to post a couple of times with my iPad and it didn't "take."

i love the verse in Hebrews today:

"Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. But we see him..."

NOTHING is outside his control, though we do not yet see it. But we see Him. We want it to be set right, but that's not the promise for now. We know one day it will be made gloriously right.

He tells us He hears our cries. Our prayers are answered, our call to Him is not in vain. And nothing is outside His Control. Glorious Lord, we look forward to that Day when You reign in Your rightful Place. Glorious Day!
