Justly.
Fairly.
Knowing, we have a Master in heaven. Col 4:2.
The Bible steers us in a clear direction as to how to act:
Continue.
Steadfast in prayer.
Watchful in prayer.
With Thanksgiving.
Praying for others.
May they speak Truth. Col 4:3.
Walking in Wisdom.
Making the Best Use of Time.
Speech Seasoned with Grace. Col 4:6
And we read a story in Jeremiah 35 where whole households lived just like that. Oh dear God! Please help us to incline our ears to You and not to this important world we live in. So touched by Jer 35:18 that the House of the Rechabites listened to their God. Today has been an unbelievably weird day where I have been so misunderstood. Will I love back? Will I listen back to Him?
I have a Master.
I have a Voice.
I have a Prayer.
I have a Choice.
I have this Hour.
I have His Grace.
Paul concludes "Remember my chains." Think that might be my first prayer request for the Colossians.
ReplyDeletePaul knows of what he speaks. He lives it. God loves obedience. Like the obedient sons of Rechab, we too have a Master looking down on our choices, our daily walk. Walking in His directives, His Wisdom, we move closer to pouring out the Grace He gives us. Our hearts overflow with more of His Spirit and Life.
Thank You, Lord, for these specific areas to concentrate on, to mature us to be more like You. Help us to have willing obedient hearts to respond with love, with "salty" Grace. Amen.
Help me to make the most of every oppportunity as I wait on You and continue in prayer. I thank You, Lord, that You are always present, even when appearances/circumstances threaten that truth.
ReplyDeleteMay Your Word be like a fire in my heart, unable to hold it in.
