God is preparing us every single day for heaven. Extending His Grace to us. Not to everyone because some don't care, don't want it, think their lives are fine "AS IS." If we are going to change, it is going to be an act of Grace. God raises us up that He might show His Power. Lives dependent on *Romans 9:16*
"It does not depend on Human Will or Exertion, but on God, Who has Mercy."
Blessed - if you publish peace. Isa 52:7
Graced - God's Hand is not Too Short; He dries up the seas for you Isa 50:2
Sustained - God gives you the tongue of a teacher for the weary. Isa 50:4
Determined - Harder than Steel is your face set like a flint. Isa 50:7
Illumined - When you walk in the dark, and have no light, Grace teaches you to Trust. Isa 50:10
How beautiful on the mountains
ReplyDeleteare the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
Our God reigns.
Walking in the dark, trusting Him this day.
Reminds me of "You Move Me"
by Susan Ashton:
Here is how love was to me
I could look and not see
Going through the emotions
Not knowing what they mean
And it scared me so much
That I just wouldn't budge
I might have stayed there forever
If not for Your touch
Oh, but You move me
Out of myself and into the fire
You move me
Burning with love and with hope and desire,
How You move me
You go whistling in the dark
Making light of it, making light of it
And I follow with my heart
Laughing all the way
Oh, 'cause You move me
You get me dancing and You make me sing,
Even though I have the light of His truth shining in my heart and believe on Him, at times these days I find I am walking in the dark and I find His light is shining on me because of His marvelous, infinite grace! I am finding that as I yield to Him as I walk through this current trial with my son that He is refining me and shaving off more rough edges. He truly does move in miraculous ways His wonders to perform. Praise God that His hand is not too short that all might be saved. I find myself thankful in the circumstance, but not for the circumstance.
ReplyDeleteI love what you said, Mary Lou. As a visual person, I immediately thought of walking in the dark with a big "God" Spotlight shining on my head, showing me the way. It is not for me to look down at my feet, or to ahead, trying to see the path, but to follow step by step. I will not fall, or stumble as long as I walk step by step in faith, looking into the light.
