Scripture interprets Scripture. We don't pull out one verse from the Bigger Story. It's in a Bigger Context of Great Love. From the Wedding of Adam and Eve in Genesis to the Wedding of the Bridegroom in Revelations awaiting His Bride, the Church, it's a Love Story. So, Proverbs 10:12 ~ Love covers all offenses ~ is a beautiful statement of what we are to do with the motivations of our hearts---or lack of that motivation. Find in your heart to offer Love in the face of pain, rejection, betrayal, distance. Cover with a blanket of dignity what comes from those dark places. Just like Noah's sons walking into their drunk naked dad's bedroom with a blanket to cover up his offense. Cover it well with Strength and Kindness and Power---the Energy that only God can give us ~ Acts 1:8 ~ You will receive Power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.

ReplyDeleteAnnette, I took what you said about my faith the other day the way in which you meant it. I did not take offense and did not read anything in to it. I appreciate your coming back and clarifying what you said, but I was fine with what you said, knew what you meant.
Bev, oh, so praising God that the report you got on Friday was NOT your report. You so stood tall in my eyes and looked to Him for your strength. How I pray that when I am faced with things like that, that I will be able to cling to Him and not my fears. You are a great inspiration to me.
