2 Sam 7:3 and Psalm 30:5 and John 1:38 "I Find Courage to Pray" (March 9)

Who am I?  You have brought me to this place.
Alone.
Stable.
Kept.
Fixed.
Grasped.
And everything that is going on---it's all right by You.

2 Sam 7:18 ~ “Who am I, O Lord God...that you have brought me thus far? ...
I find courage to pray this prayer to you.
May it please You to bless this house, this generation
that our children may continue before You forever...forever...forever!

Go.
Do.
All.
That is in your heart
For the LORD is with you. 2 Sam 7:3

"What are you seeking?" John 1:38
What are those tears for?
Your weeping may tarry
God's joy will carry you - Psalm 30:5

  1. Bev, Annette and Mary Lou, how your words moved me as I read yesterday's posts.
God is doing amazing things in your hearts and mine as well.
Today I as I read about the ark, I asked myself, "What would I do if the Ark resided in my house? How would I act?" How powerful the Ark was, and yet, with Christ living in me, He is the Ark in my heart, my life and my house.
We are on vacation in Florida, and yesterday we snorkled in the ocean. It is a beautiful and scary place. I was awed and afraid. I was so afraid to clean my mask when it fogged up. I didn't want to take it off, and still stay afloat at the same time. Then I realized, the salt in the water was holding me up, no way was I going to sink. I started to trust.
With trust came peace and enjoyment.
The next dive, I remembered what I learned on the first one. It was a totally different experience. I floated, at one with the water and the fishes.
That is what I learned yesterday, in the ocean. God is holding me up, he won't let me sink.

  2. SIMON'S NEW NAME
"He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas” (which means Peter.)

...which means "ROCK." Strong, solid, faithful Peter. Following Christ gives us a new name in Him. A new strength. A new calling. A new life. Just when this body starts telling me it won't, He breathes new life into me, with a new beginning. Follow Christ, my heart.

Faithful is He who calls you!

  3. Jan, what a beautiful metaphor for God holding us up! So true, based on our history with God, we know we can trust. He won't let us sink. Love your heart sharing here.
