I John 2:15 ~ Do not love the world or the things in the world..
The *desires of the eyes* and *pride in possessions*---
it's not from the Father but is from the world.
So, what do I love more than the Love of my God?
Oh Righteous One, visit us this day.
Be my Advocate for I am weak but you are Strong.
Be my Strong Voice for my helpless ways.
Be my Strong Arm for my weary days.
I'm sitting here in a funk on a peculiar rainy day. Just read I Jn 3---Go to Him to reassure your heart---I need to. Health issues: Tuesday oncologist visit should reveal further results if they will biopsy. Relationship issues: A little disrespect came my way & I am all tied up in the inside where nobody sees. So grateful to have my Cancer Advocate and my Heart Advocate whose Voice speaks loudly for me. God is greater than all this stuff! Please pray what we read in I John 1:10 that I "reach repentance" in all of that torments my soul. I've had horrific nightmares this week. Trusting God with you from my dark neck of the woods. Love you all.
ReplyDeleteYes, Bev. Joining you in prayer to our Advocate-the One who is on our side, fighting our battles--we need only hand them to Him. That is a new thought to me to "pray to reach repentance." That truly is revolutionary in my prayer life. To reach repentance is the ultimate understanding of humility and Grace. It is the end of us and the beginning of His glorious takeover in our heart.
