You've heard someone say that God will provide something better for you in the midst of your loss, your suffering. What if that "something better" (Hebrews 11:40) is not receiving what was promised by God? God, may we see things this day from Your Perspective. Would you help us to endure, seeing You the Invisible Hand on our life (Hebrews 11:27). Would you help us to hold fast to hope? Would you let us embrace our loss, our suffering and not just shut down our souls.
This chapter was about the destitute, the afflicted, the mistreated of days gone by---people of whom the world was not worthy (Hebrews 11:38). By faith, they conquered kingdoms and were made strong out of weakness (Hebrews 11:34). That's it. That's where I want to live. Make me strong on this day that you brought me into the world. Strength out of my Weakness.
Happy Birthday, dear Pearls Mama! You are such an inspiration. I look forward to reading your posts first thing every day.
ReplyDeleteI want to be right there with you, through weakness becoming strong. I am so excited and alive, going through trials of many kinds, yet He is working and blessing us! Wow, how I love Him! God is AWESOME!
I ditto everything that Jan said. Happy, blessed Birthday dear Bev. You are one of His faithful. You live it out no matter what is happening or going on in your life. You are a living testimony for Him.
ReplyDeleteGod's Eyes-His Perspective
ReplyDeleteCould we, Lord, on this day have the privilege of knowing Your Invisible Hand? Could we have the eternal perspective that only a Hope in You would accomplish? Could we be found among Your faithful this day? Make us strong right where we are.
We give you such thanks for our Bev, whom You spoke into existence. You know everything she has gone through and will continue to endure. Thank You that she is counted so blessedly among Your faithful servants, proclaiming Your Glory each and every day. We are thankful for her example of courage and faith and how she has Jesus on her lips every time we encounter her. Grant her strength and wisdom and health and power in Your holy Name, to stand strong in her glorious weakness, to be blessed with an overflowing heart with Your boundless Love. In the Name of the One called Faithful and True, Jesus Christ, Amen.
Happy Birthday Bev!
ReplyDeleteThank you for encouraging us in the Word!
My prayer today:
"By faith, Michele . . .
By Faith... Angie... is sittig with her brother around the clock as He waits patiently for God to wrap His arms around Him and finally take him Home, where there is no more pain, no more tears and many loved ones that are waiting to be reunited! There is going to be a great big party soon! I'm so grateful to have my Faith and that I got to tell him yesterday to give everyone a hug from me and he smiled a big smile. Please please please pray for my sister-in-law Pattie, as she told me last night that she is really struggling with her Faith and having doubt. She doesn't believe in Satan. She is lashing out at all of us in her anger and grief. We are all trying not to take it personally. I would appreciate prayers for me too. Between you and me... I'm getting scared-super terrified actually since I have never experienced anything this close. I wasn't there the exact moment when my sister, dad or mom died.
ReplyDeleteI ditto what Jan, Mary Lou, Annette and Michele said today. Happy Birthday, Bev!
Happy Birthday, Bev! You are a treasure. There are so many special things about you, but I have to say I am greatful for your faithfulness here. Every day I know I can come here and be enriched by this time shared with you, the pearls and scripture...love you so very much!
ReplyDeleteI guess the "By faith" is the best testimony any of us can ever hope to have. By faith these giants of the Old Testament shared in the fulfillment of the promise in the New Testament...Messiah has come.
And nothing has changed...they looked forward by faith...we stand on the other side of the cross and faithfully believe. What giants of faith we have learned of and witnessed because of Jesus Christ and His love for His own...
Blessings to each of you pearls. Live out your own faith-walk and let Christ be magnified...
Belated happy Birthday, Mama Pearl
