Ephesians 5:14 ~ Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
Ephesians 5:15 ~ Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
It was a world without hope. Ephesus. Corinth. Galatia. Phillipi. No hope apart from the Gospel. A world, in a lot of ways, just like our world today. Bankrupt in Hope. Yet, like us, Jesus was not longer present in body, but they had the Old and New Testaments. Everything that needed to be said had been written, inspired by God.
Fast forward 2,000 years later where there has been no additional Inspired Voice from God. It's all been said in the Bible. Awake, O sleeper. Awake, O my soul. Arise from your deadly doings. Look carefully, then, how you walk.

I must ask myself and check myself to see IF I truly am showing hope to a dying world, by my walk, my talk, my very existence. Is there anything about me that would give off a sense that I am not following Him. Am I bold enough to speak His truth in love. I fall short, so short. My prayer today is that I will change and bow the knee more and show the world Him. I so fail Him. I have NO part from Him and I do not make the best use of my time. His words spoke to me this morning and are waking me up to look much more carefully at how I walk.

Awakening to His Voice this beautiful Sunday morning and asking blessing on each of us as we walk through evil days carrying His Banner. May we make Him pleased.
I'm challenged today to look very carefully for Christ to be the center of what is "good" in this world today.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most cunning attacks of the enemy to mankind is the fact that he comes as an angel of light sometimes.
Good may be good...but it's not always righteous.
Christ alone is our Lord.
Be wise.
As the world starts moving towards a global peace...at any cost...you will find the angel of light blinding hearts and souls to the True Light, Jesus Christ.
Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ and His Work on the cross. Not our good works.
We may one day receive rewards for the works we allow Christ to perform through us...but it is not our good works that save us.
It is our faith. We believe Truth. God's Truth. Not man's.
Be wise, pearls. Know Christ and Him crucified. Born of a virgin. Raised ALIVE after three days dead. Witnessed walking, talking and eating after His resurrection.
