Read with me cover-to-cover in 2025. Start the Old & New Testaments together on January 1. About 3 chapters per day. About 15 minutes of your day. Join us as the axe of Biblical Love thaws the frozen parts (66LL) in our hearts. My focus in 2025 is counseling yourself from the Word. We average 60,000 thoughts per day. Take courage. Talk to yourself from Truth. I am more emotional and pensive and overly-sensitive than most. I need to know how to truly live.

2 Tim 1:6 "Timothy's Tears" (October 27)
Paul remembered Timothy's tears. I wonder what Timothy's tears were for? I find it very tender that Paul holds this memory of his friend so dear. He encourages Timothy to fan into flame the gift of God, which is already in Timothy. God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. That's just beautiful news.

Bev, I couldn't help starting my morning off with a laugh at your bug story from yesterday. Oh my! I am sorry that you were left with your hair undone!
ReplyDeleteHello all! I am still here reading along in God's word with you each day!
Love you,
--michele
It is a beautiful reminder that He has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind. So, that says to us when we are afraid that the enemy is camping on our shoulders and we need to remind him that we do NOT have a spirit of fear.
ReplyDeleteI also loved it when Paul, said he knew who he believed and knew that He was guarding him against that day, meaning the day when Jesus judges all. When believer stand before Him we will not be judged for we are covered in His righteous blood and God is guarding us against that day when we believe in Him. Brought the old hymn to mind..."for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that to which I've committed against that day. What wonderful thoughts to carry through the day.
