Galatians 6:5 - "Each will have to bear his own load."
Galatians 6:9 - "Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up."
I've had a nagging thought throughout my life that someone should come and rescue me from my dilemmas. God is calling me to a higher road where we walk alone guided by Providence Himself, bearing our own load, not trying to escape what the Sovereign God has laid upon us. And, don't grow weary of doing good, especially to the household of faith!
Thank you Bev, for not growing weary in reading the daily reading and sharing your thoughts with us, through thick and thin. You have blessed us daily, all who read and all who comment.
ReplyDeleteHe does indeed help us bear our load, but I also think that we each one can help in a small way when we give a word of encouragement to our fellow travelers. Sometimes, we will not see what good our prayers, even our lives have done, until we get to heaven. Other times He gives us the blessing of seeing fruit from our work, even small glimpses which spur us on to praying more and longer and for keeping on in the work to which He has called us.
Blessings to each one of you. Your comments add so much to my day and to my life.
I marked the same Scripture this morning. It's so easy to get tired, isn't it! And most of the time it appears good is not winning.
ReplyDeleteLet us spur each other onward and upward toward our calling!
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Stumbling, climbing, stopping for breath, going back and picking up things I dropped along the way, throwing some things out of my pack that I no longer need. I keep on, life is not an easy stroll. I am in training for eternity. When I lose, I win.
ReplyDeleteWhen I hurt, I am healed, for that is the time I turn to Him.
Thank you all for your comments of encouragement and to a Holy God, Elohim.
