2 Cor 12:10
God said to Paul:
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses,
so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
For the sake of Christ, then,
I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. Am I??
For when I am weak, then I am strong.
I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more, am I to be loved less? 2 Cor 12:19
Paul was afraid that perhaps he may find them not as he wished, and that they may find him not as they wished—that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder.
We are far more evil than we realize. There is hope for our sin!
a thorn was given me in the flesh...But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses...For when I am weak, then I am strong.
ReplyDeleteStill really examining this theme in my life today. I realized how much I dislike thorns not removed, but can see how God uses anxiety in my life, though it isn't (His usual plan for our lives) to make me humble, to keep me looking to Him for strength.
My daughter Lindsay and I are memorizing Scripture together = one happy mama!
ReplyDeleteThe first ones we are learning:
Romans 5:8-9
Ephesians 2:8-9
