Read with me cover-to-cover in 2026. Start the Old & New Testaments together on January 1. About 3 chapters per day. About 15 minutes of your day. Join us as the axe of Biblical Love thaws the frozen parts (66LL) in our hearts. My focus in 2026 is counseling yourself from the Word. We average 60,000 thoughts per day. Take courage. Talk to yourself from Truth. I am more emotional and pensive and overly-sensitive than most. I need to know how to truly live.

I Cor. 8:1 "Knowledge Puffs Up" (August 26)
I Cor 8:1 "All of us possess knowledge." This knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. You may know all the right things, hold the right answers, speak the right rhetoric, but without LOVE, all the human knowledge you possess is worthless. You may have worked hard to acheive the knowledge you have in a certain area, but what good is it if it is without love? If your life isn't producing love for your husband, your children, your family, your neighbors, your world, then I wonder what you have missed? Knowledge fills you up with lots of rhetoric and hot air. Love pours out of repentant hearts. Isa 57:15 Revive us with courage, O LORD---those of us who have repented.

Love builds. Souls, hearts, spirits--wherever love resides, love multiplies, love softens, love heals. The restorative power of love is found in its Creator, Love Himself.
ReplyDeleteI say this often but particularly in marriage, being "right" is a lonely place.
Father, if we err, may we err on Love's side. Help us build up our families, our husbands, our neighbors, our business acquaintances with Your Love. Empty us of selfish motives and insincerity. Give us Your Eyes of Compassion when we have tendencies to judge or feel superior. Thank You for Your example of being Servant to all, the ultimate Love sacrificing all for unworthy us. May we walk in love as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
A good word, Annette!
