The LORD has assigned to each of us what we need. Only God makes it all grow. How arrogant of me to think that all is good and I can make something happen in another life. According to the Grace of God, He will give out and He will perform. So, why do freshly sharpened pencils and trendy backpacks and empty notebooks invite me to human behavior? Why do I behave in a human way? What do I fear? Is this coming from a good place in my heart? We are more than merely human.
Read with me cover-to-cover in 2026. Start the Old & New Testaments together on January 1. About 3 chapters per day. About 15 minutes of your day. Join us as the axe of Biblical Love thaws the frozen parts (66LL) in our hearts. My focus in 2026 is counseling yourself from the Word. We average 60,000 thoughts per day. Take courage. Talk to yourself from Truth. I am more emotional and pensive and overly-sensitive than most. I need to know how to truly live.

I Cor 3:3 "Am I Being Merely Human?" (August 20)
I Corinthians 3:3 When there is jealousy in you, among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? Back-to-school days remind me of being jealous over what other kids could do that mine couldn't. Behavior was way too important on my school list. Breaking the moral code.

ReplyDeleteAre we letting others build on our sure foundation in Christ? Am I influenced and impressed by worldly wisdom, or do I seek the gold and gems that He will build on this temple unto Him?
ReplyDeleteWe are all merely human. However we have this Treasure in earthen vessels that gives Wisdom, and equips and builds and diligently attends. He will satisfy all our needs, but yes, we still turn our heads, look away. Something shiny that is not gold catches our eye. But our foundation needs tending. Straw won't last the fire. And there will be a test. School is in session!
You write so well, Annette. You so draw me in, draw me up!
