Acts 13:36 "God's Power is Left-Handed" July 5

Acts 13:36 - "David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep." It is appointed once for each of us to die. What will we have done with what has been given to us?  Let the Spousal Love of our Christ radically change the motivations and intentions of our heart.  Martin Luther said: "God's demonstration of power is left-handed." 66LL talks about this Luther quote: Since Pentecost, God's power appears to be weak to the natural eyes; but to eyes that have been opened by His Spirit, God's power is more evident in our desires for Him that no agony of soul or fall into sin can destroy.  So what are the purposes of God for our lives?  We know this, for sure, that our God is committed to change each one of us.  Not to change our circumstances but to change our hearts.

  1. A Light for the Gentiles, and a Light for this soul of mine--sometimes a guiding Light, sometimes an exposing Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

God is committed to change us from the inside out. And it may not seem obvious to the casual observer, the scoffer, or the unbeliever, but the Spirit knows. That Light shines from our hearts. The Holy Spirit in me rises to greet the Holy Spirit in you and kindred souls are formed--one family in Him.
