Luke 23:33 "Remember Me When Not If" (May 6)

Luke 23:33 "At The Skull, there they crucified Him" ~ and with those few words, He was wounded for my sin, paid the full penalty, and it's over. No description of the suffering. No drama of the events. No details of the story.

One criminal mocked the Savior---"Save yourself and us!"

The other criminal repented and called Him Savior---"Remember me when---not IF---when You come into Your Kingdom." Amazing faith. And that criminal went to his home in Paradise on that very day but not the other. And all of the assembled crowds went home beating their breasts. What did they know?

  1. Blessings, Pearls! Blessing on you, your families and friends. Blessings on the new baby Drew. Blessings on the new one in Christ, Bev's son-in-law.
I will be out of the country for 2 weeks, on a trip with my husband. I am not sure if I will be able to post or not, I will keep reading along with and praying for you all. Please keep us in your prayers, as well as my family.
    God is so good, always.

  2. Here we are again. It is Good Friday. We are hanging in the balance, waiting to be weighed. The world is dark and desperately full of sin. And Jesus is forsaken as He lovingly gives all with the one horrific and holy Work that is credited to our own righteousness.

Two thieves hang on each side of the Holy One. One mocks as his final act and one fears the only One we should. "And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise."

    Longing for the Resurrection Sunday...
