John 1:14 ~ The Word became flesh and dwelt among us...
John 1:16 ~ And from His fullness we have all received, Grace upon Grace.
Four words announce His Appearance.
Four words announce His Departure.
The Word became flesh in a very poor neighborhood. In fact, He wasn't even born inside of a home but in the outside of a stable.
Not a very conspicuous plot for the King of Kings.
His family faced shame and ridicule for an unwanted pregnancy.
From His Fulness, we have received Grace upon Grace upon Grace upon Grace.
Immense Grace.
Infinite Grace.
Inexhaustible Grace.
Indelible Grace marked on Those Hands and Feet.
May we face our own sinfulness in ways we have not as we walk through the Book of John.
May God's Immeasurable Grace be all over your sin.
His Work is complete. God shed His Grace on thee.
"He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light."
ReplyDeleteI learned so much in court last week. I'm always surprised at how naive I still am at close to 50 years old. I thought when someone was a witness they were supposed to tell the truth and I saw the exact opposite. I was reminded that I am a stranger in this world and I couldn't be more happy about it!. This is not Heaven. Reading His Word and specifically this book is how I want to start my day. I pray I can be a good witness so that all may believe because of how I live my life. I love Mondays so I can start over and reset.
SO glad to be walking this journey with you all!
Blogger has denied me the ability to post two comments....will try later in the day..bet this one posts...

Jesus-Grace & Truth
So thankful to be living this side of the Cross. There is so much more love that abounds even for the unlovable. Grace upon grace for sinners like me.
It is a great way to start a morning, Angie!
Grace, grace, God's grace, grace that is greater than ALL our sin.
ReplyDeleteI have written two comments that blogger would not post...don't know what is going on.
Update on Sally and Drew...he is out of the intensive side of NCIU and has lots of hair and is sucking like crazy on a pacifier, won't take the bottle yet,so they still have a feeding tube in him. The way he is progressing, I'm thinking he will just move right along..She started the strong chemo today...has never said how many treatments. She desires to not be so sick that she can go and see the baby. She also would like prayer for stamina and strength.
Bless each one of you who has offered a prayer up to Him for this sweet sister in Christ...He is hearing and taking note of those who pray for someone they do not know but is a member of His body. Love to all of you. May His light penetrate the darkness of those that we love and bring them into His kingdom. One of the many things I am thankful for...His light penetrated my darkness and He wooed me to Himself....
praying for sally and baby drew!
ReplyDeleteit's a new picture to me that our Advocate holds up His Scars in intercession for sally~

ReplyDelete"And the Word became flesh"
ReplyDeleteGod sent Grace
Jesus gives Grace
Spirit captures us with bonds of Grace
And look at us!
We wear God's Grace!
G = God's
R = Riches
A = At
C = Christ's
E = Expense
Paid in full when we believe...not when we are good enough. Grace is poured out, grace upon grace. He never runs out!
