John 10:3 The sheep hear His Voice. He calls His own sheep by name. He leads us out of whatever mess we are in. No matter how we've distanced ourselves from people or from Him.
John 10:9 I am the Door. If anyone enters by Me, He will go in and out and find life.
The Door is always open.
Every day. Every way.
Every circumstance. Every chance.
What do I hear as I enter the Door?
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for The Holy Spirit today!
Have a great weekend, friends. We are staying in town since we had a recent vacation. I'm glad we are avoiding the traffic going north like a lot of people here in Michigan. Up here we take full advantage of the time between Memorial Day and Labor Day where our weather is nicest. It's the official beginning of Summer and it's safe to plant flowers. Yay... Joy cometh in the Summer! :)
What fun things do you all have planned this weekend?
xoxo
"I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture." Here we are with the third of the 7 "I am" statements. What a beautiful metaphor to know Jesus as the Door—our gatekeeper to salvation--freedom and shelter, pasture and protection.
ReplyDeleteOne Door, one way--"I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father but by Me,”
John 6:47: “I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.”
The message is steady and true—grace alone. Not works, not goodness---but grace, beautiful grace.
Memorial Day weekend. My family is coming to visit us in Austin. 8 of them will descend, half are already here. They are coming to do the ITU Austin triathlon. That's "fun" for them. My "fun" is watching them and running back & forth & alongside for a very short distance to cheer them on! And serving them all weekend l-o-n-g!
