Read with me cover-to-cover in 2026. Start the Old & New Testaments together on January 1. About 3 chapters per day. About 15 minutes of your day. Join us as the axe of Biblical Love thaws the frozen parts (66LL) in our hearts. My focus in 2026 is counseling yourself from the Word. We average 60,000 thoughts per day. Take courage. Talk to yourself from Truth. I am more emotional and pensive and overly-sensitive than most. I need to know how to truly live.

John 10:29 "Unsnatchable" (May 28)
John 10:29 "No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand." It's a verse God gave me years ago when I lived in dreaded fear of being harmed. Safe in His Hand, whatever that means. Not free from harm and hurt, just free to be His. And that will never change!

Being the Baptist that I am, I read that verse of not being able to be snatched from the Father's hand, as to the fact that NO one can take me from Him, once I belong to Him. My salvation is secure. Which, sweet Bev does make us free to be His, what a blessed thought that is to hold so close to our hearts. To think that we are engraved on the palms of His hands, what a blessing that is and what comfort it brings when things around us get really rocky.
ReplyDeleteMy sweet friend Sally, is standing much in the need of prayer. They did get to take precious little Drew home on Thursday and she wrote that she was feeling fine and no true bad side affects from the chemo. THEN late yesterday afternoon, she began throwing up...it got so bad her husband took her to the ER...she was admitted, they did a MRI of her head and it showed either a malignancy or hemmoraghe (can't seem to spell it this morning). Her parents are there for the week end at least and his mother is there too. so her parents went to the hospital and his mother stayed with Drew. Please be in much prayer for this family whenever you read this. She was so happy in her post on caring bridge about bringing him home and feeling so good herself and was so thankful to God and was praising Him for all He had done for them thus far. My heart is breaking for all of them....praying for a healing so that she may stay here and raise that sweet baby. Thank all who read and pray. Blessings on your holiday week end. We owe so much to our troops who have stood in the gap for our country.
Love to all...Mary Lou
Mary Lou, As I was praying for Sally and her family, I felt led to pray not only for healing but for hope and no fear of tomorrow. I am thankful that Drew is healthy (and demanding--usually a sign of a robust boy) and that Sally had that time to see him perfect. I pray now that God heals her and she can see her baby grow and hold him again as a joyful well mom. Heartbreaking but not without hope. So glad this mom and her mom know Jesus. How in the world could we do life without Him?
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite verses we come to this morning. John 10:29. It comforts me in many ways--I claim it for my children as well for protection. This morning, I'm claiming over Sally and her sweet little Drew. The waters are treacherous. May we each abide in the safety of His (name engraved!) Hands.
Praying for Sally this morning. I can't imagine her anxiety, when life is so uncertain and she has a new life to care for and love. God is speaking to all of us through this prayer request to hold tightly to Him, to His love and to love our families as He loves us. He loves us with a perfect love in this imperfect world. As I write this I am listening to "Praise You in This Storm" by Casting Crowns. It reminds me to "lift my eyes unto the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord.... I will praise you in this storm And though my heart is torn, I will praise you in this storm."
ReplyDeleteGod, Almighty, I pray you give Sally the gift of time with her precious Drew.
Funny, we are all on a continuous loop, ups and downs, hurts and joy, yet holding tightly to him makes the way straight.
update on Sally....it is a tumor and they are going to operate...have no idea as to the time..she had been having headaches...He does hold her in the palms of His hand and both sides of the family are strong believers, they are becoming much stronger. God has this in control...just seems so harsh and cruel....praying He will receive all the honor and glory from all of this. Thank you for your prayers...loved your words Annette and Jan...gave me joy from Him...
