The Kingdom of God is the Rule of our Sovereign God over all creatures.
over all our SECRETS: That which is hidden from our minds will be made manifest. Those secrets will come to light. Mark 4:22
over all our UNKNOWN: The Kingdom is growing in me and in you, and we "know not how." Mark 4:27
over all our GROWTH: The smallest of all seeds on earth grows up to become larger than all the garden plants around---so much so that birds make their home in its shade. One day, we can offer shade to those who are scorched and thirsty. Mark 4:32
over all our FEARS: Jesus awoke in the midst of the storm. "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?" And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, Who is This? that even the Winds and the Waves obey Him? Mark 4:41
Our Beautiful God is Sovereign over all the affairs of our lives. Whether we are in a storm afraid or trying to grow some shade or hiding secrets or living in the unknown---He is still sovereign so. Wonder where I hold on this day to refuse His Rule and say: You aren't sovereign in this...
Mark 4:38..."Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" 39And he awoke and(T) rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" And the wind ceased, and(U) there was a great calm. 40He said to them, "Why are you(V) so afraid? Have you still no faith?"

He Loves!
Have Faith!
And he said, "With what can we compare the kingdom of God... privately to his own disciples he explained everything."
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the day He and I can have a face to face conversation so He can explain everything!
Have a nice day, sisters!

"Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?"
ReplyDeleteGod is really talking to me on this note--yesterday, so sweetly and today with a loving rebuke! My (re)actions reveal if I believe He is sovereign or I give something else power in my life. I have passed down the generational sin of fear to my children and this is not the legacy I so want to give them. Let it be my example of solid faith, not fear, Lord.
Yesterday, I had the sweetest immediate answer to prayer. I had taken my daughter for her checkup with the neurologist (she had several seizure episodes a little over a year ago) While I was in the waiting room, I was praying for her for healing in some very specific areas concerning the seizures, and then I grabbed my iPad to read a while. I clicked on the book application and this is what popped up, the only thing on a single page highlighted in yellow:
"Don't be afraid. Just believe, and your daughter will be well."
-Luke 8:50 NCV
It took my breath away for such a direct and immediate answer to prayer. Yesterday, a kind, reassuring word and this morning, a slightly exasperated Lord asks, "Have you still no faith?" And so I answer with renewed strength, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"
And may it be so in your own lives that your faith is renewed and strengthened by each day's reading of His Word.
Mark 4:30 And he said, "With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? 31It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, 32yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and puts out large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade."
ReplyDeleteI praise you LORD your WORD demonstrates that even with the smallest amount of faith, I can bring up concerning my life you are able to multply it beyond measure. Forgive me LORD for wanting to see the outcome before I step forward in faith believing. As others have said on this blog...Lord, forgive my unbelief.
I praise you for Annette's experience with her daughter yesterday and her ability to express herself so well that all may know You are who you say you are and can do what you say you can do. It is through our individual testimonies that others can be encouraged in their faith.
I am believing God today no matter what. This is a Song I must Sing.
Sylvia
34"He did not speak to them without a parable, but privately to his own disciples he explained everything."
ReplyDeleteO, I love this! He filled them in on God things! What a visual that is for me. I can see the disciples looking so puzzled and confused. And He explained everything...
Do you ever ponder why so many people BLAME God for the things that happen in their lives? Why is it so easy to turn our backs on our beautiful Creator and not look closely at what the enemy is stirring up...his fiery darts.
Blind eyes can't see the enemy's handiwork. Nor can blind eyes see God's Grace.
I am in a battle right now that God NEVER turns away from me and my whining and my worries and my fears.
And sometimes, out of His goodness, He explains things to me. A pastor's sermon. A blogger's post. His Word. And His still, small Voice speaking a word of encouragement.
I am so glad that He wants us all to understand everything. I am a work in progress. And He loves me and recognizes all my human faults.
