Matthew 12:20 "He Will Bring Justice to Victory" (January 17)

A prophecy fulfilled:
Matthew 12:20 - A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not quench, until He brings justice to victory; and in His Name the Gentiles will hope.

And along comes a hopeless guy:
Matthew 12:22 - Couldn't see.  Couldn't speak.  Couldn't hear.  Tormented by demons.  Having one of those ailments is life altering but all of that at once?  What kind of life did this man have without God?  What followed him after Jesus healed him?  Did he ever live the same again?

The center of the Good News
is that you can know Jesus Christ and
enter into the Relationship the Father and Jesus enjoy.
You are empowered to serve God's Kingdom,
to relate as They relate within the Trinity.
That's the Dance, the dance you can enjoy in measure now & fully forever.
That's the Good News.                                                                         66 LL

  1. And in His name the gentiles will hope...a statement which turned the world upside down.

Thank You Father for sending Your Son to save us, heal us, redeem us, restore us and so much more.

  2. Matthew 12:7,8

"And if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath."

Beautiful picture of the disciples reaping the harvest of the field on the Sabbath. A true picture of the call to those who are Christ followers. This simple hunger in their flesh would change to a hunger in their soul to spread the Good News and seek and save those who are lost. Reaping the harvest of souls...not grain.

God desires mercy and not sacrifice towards the guiltless when they do good on the Sabbath.

The sacrifice looks forward to the harvest.

  3. I am so grateful that He came not just for the Jews, but the rest of us also. Oh, what a blessing to be grafted in and adopted into the family of God. There is NO family like the family of God.

  4. Hope for Gentiles. Miraculous healing. Justice at last. Legalism challenged. Mercy desired, not sacrifice. Can we even imagine the awe-struck wonder of this God-Man who came to challenge the establishment to bring real Love to the helpless, hopeless, and oppressed?

I'm so thankful He's the God of the ones who haven't figured it all out.

  6. Britt has pneumonia and mono and all he could keep saying was: "I'm missing my basketball game. Can we hurry up?" It was God that he got back in to a dr. appt. today. I'm waiting for the doctor to call tonight. The hospital lab expedited the tests he ran on Britt cause the doc was concerned. The mom is concerned. He starts UT tomorrow. Still sleeping about 15 hours a day---except when he's playing basketball or working out. Oh dear me. Parenting Adult Children. Oh, and I do have bronchitis, really struggling with it. Thanks for praying!
