September 29 ... Zechariah 1 - 7 "Do Not Obsess Over Yesterday's Troubles or Today's Problems. Live as a Prisoner of Hope"

"Only in darkness could Mother Teresa learn to say 'my agony of desolation is so great and at the same time the longing for the Absent One so deep, that the only prayer which I can still say is---Jesus, I trust in Thee.  I will satiate Thy thirst for souls.' "  66LL

"If you could see right now what is happening in the Unseen World, you would be filled with hope.  You must trust Me for whatever tastes of Glory I choose to provide in this life as you continue to build the Temple.  You have become a prisoner of hope."  66 LL

Yet we all live in days gone by:  You wonder how you failed (3:1), contributing to your children's failures.  You worry that your faith was too small.  "Satan encourages an obsessive and superstitious look at your failure."  I see all your failure---I bathe you until you become a Sweet Fragrance.  66 LL

"The legalist in you will want to mourn what was painful in the past and what is still painful today (7:2-3).  You will want to focus more on healing past wounds and filling present emptiness than living in hope.  Do not obsess over yesterday's troubles or today's problems."   66 LL  Live in hope!

Find the present hope...
1:2 - Come back to me and I'll come back to you. Don't be like your parents.

Enter into the present hope...
1:5  Put up your measuring tape.  Don't try to figure things out.  "I'll be right there with you—God's Decree—a wall of fire around unwalled Jerusalem---your own city with no walls--- and a radiant presence within."  Nothing will happen to you or any of My Followers that has the power to destroy My Plan A.  66 LL  God is on the move!

Dress in the present hope...
3:3 - Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes.  What am I dressed in this day?

Live as a prisoner of the present hope...
or you will be a slave to the past...
4:9  "Don't despise This Day of Small Beginnings."  A Day of Small Things.  Right on Time.  Right Direction.  Fully Alive.

  1. Even though I am not reading thru with you in the Message, because of the commitment I had already made at church, I have been keeping up with what you all see in the readings and He has spoken to my heart over and over. God's word truly never returns void. Bev, what you gleaned today was exactly for me. Everything you wrote was exactly what my son is saying and what he needs at this crisis point in his lfe.

To see God so move and provide for him a NT with the Psalms and Proverbs...was so like an angel came and brought the Bibles..he said that no one had ever come by before and done that and he has been a fireman since he was 21 and he is 36. It has made a big mark on his heart and his life. I have never seen him this seeking of God's will and what God says to do about his life and circumstances. He is so living in hope right now.

God showed up for him and is showing up for me and I know Bev, that He is showing up for you and the best is yet to be for you in ministry and in your life. God is not thru with you yet.

Living as a prisoner of Hope...the blessed Hope...the Lord Jesus Christ. Mary Lou

  2. Right on time, my heart longing for Jesus, and here He is!

Zech 1 'Come back to me and I'll come back to you.

Zech 2 "Anyone who hits you, hits me—bloodies my nose, blackens my eye…

Zech 3 "Get him out of those filthy clothes," and then said to Joshua, "Look, I've stripped you of your sin and dressed you up in clean clothes."… Here's what I'm doing next: I'm introducing my servant Branch.

Zech 4 - 'You can't force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,' ... He'll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!'"

Zech 5 - "This is a bushel basket on a journey. It holds the sin of everyone, everywhere." Where are they taking the bushel basket?"
He said, "East to the land of Shinar. They will build a garage to house it. When it's finished, the basket will be stored there."

Zech 6 - Be alert. We have a man here whose name is Branch. He will branch out from where he is and build the Temple of God. Yes, he's the one. He'll build the Temple of God. Then he'll assume the role of royalty, take his place on the throne and rule—a priest sitting on the throne!—showing that king and priest can coexist in harmony.'

Zech 7 - When you held days of fasting every fifth and seventh month all these seventy years, were you doing it for me? And when you held feasts, was that for me? Hardly. You're interested in religion, I'm interested in people…

the message hasn't changed. God-of-the-Angel-Armies said then and says now:
    "'Treat one another justly.
    Love your neighbors.
    Be compassionate with each other.

  5. Zech. 3:1,2
Next the Messenger-Angel showed me the high priest Joshua. He was standing before God's Angel where the Accuser showed up to accuse him. Then God said to the Accuser, "I, God, rebuke you, Accuser! I rebuke you and choose Jerusalem. Surprise! Everything is going up in flames, but I reach in and pull out Jerusalem!"

I just love that word, "Surprise!"

Y'all have no idea how much it means to me to hear God rebuke this "Accuser." I see his hand in so much of the things I'm going through now and in the past year. The Accuser. How he longs to destroy us.

I am so very thankful that God snatches Jerusalem out of the fire. Surprise! We have a brilliant God and He stands TALL against the accuser of our souls.

    TALL and MIGHTY...

Our God is an AWESOME God!

  6. Mary Lou, I really appreciate reading your praises and knowing that God HAS answered your prayers for your son. Thankful for the hope you are pouring out on him through your intercessory prayer. God is always ready, willing and able to listen to our prayers and to answer them. May God continue working in your son's life.

Bev, God has you on an adventure right now. It may feel like a rollercoaster at times, but I see Him in you. You are your Father's daughter, brave one. This is Battle ON! We don't give up. He is our BRANCH sending out Oil all over the world. May His Spirit fill you to the brim!

On my way to hug some sweet necks tomorrow! Keep me in your prayers and see ya soon.

Angie, you are in my prayers. Holy kisses and hugs sent your way.
