88 - "Set Up Large Stones with the Word Written on The Stones" Deuteronomy 27

Dear Children, "When you have crossed the Jordan into the land the Lord your God is giving you, set up some large stones and coat them with plaster.  Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey.  Build there an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones."  Deut 27:3  So, what does these verses mean?  What are all those verses written to us for?  Our deep calling.  Our deep encouragement.  Our deep knowledge of the truth.  Our deep freedom.  Go write down what you know; what you need to remember; what you need to live by.  Put it up.  Memorials of the Word.

The Word meets Prayer and that changes everything for us ~ Deut 27:5.  No secret formula here, just a life lived surrendered, sold out. This blessing from Moses in Deut 27:9 becomes the cry of our hearts:  "Keep silence and hear, O Israel, this day you have become the people of the LORD your God.  You shall therefore obey the Voice of the LORD your God, keeping His commandments."
