When that word comes down to us? The one we hoped never to hear? What will we do? Will our faith flame strong? It's not that our faith will change our circumstances. It's all that our God will show up fully to quiet and calm our hearts. For in this world, you will have troubles. Surrendered. Dependent. And our plans may change, but the purposes of our heart remain forever.
Psalm 112:7 He is not afraid of bad news. His heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.
Psalm 118:7 The Lord is on my side as my helper.
Not to us, not to us, but to You be the Glory, O God!

Father, it happened this very day as I waited for a outcome at a hospital. My mind, my body raced ahead to try to cope with what could be. May I see a little deeper this moment that life is all about what I am trusting in---outcomes or Omnipotence.
