Miracles.
They only happen because God does it.
O God, work a miracle in our lives to make us strong where we wrestle this day.
Servants of the Word.
We venture our whole souls on this Gospel of Luke, the doctrine of Jesus Christ. Confident. Satisfied with None Other. Hopeful of That Day. Eyewitnesses. Servants of the Word---oh, to be known as a servant of this Word.
Eyewitnesses.
Eyewitnesses.
This eyewitness named Dr. Luke recorded the unbelievable events that happened before him. And God perfected Dr. Luke's understanding of what He saw by breathing into him this Word of God.
Childless.
Zacharias and Elisabeth. Offering prayers up to God. By the intercession of Christ. Just like we do this day. Christ lives to ever make intercession for each of our prayers. Impossible requests that could only be answered by a Mighty God, then and now.
Forerunner.
John, strong in faith, lived above the pleasures of this world. He was a lover of God, not a lover of the world. Before a forerunner, he was on the back burner, an unassuming life.
Invisible.
My fear, my wrestle with feelings of living overlooked, invisible, invalidated are laid to rest when I read this: "And if it be the will of God that we live unknown to the world, still let us diligently seek to grow strong in the grace of Jesus Christ." Matthew Henry.
Grow in Grace.
"And he continued to grow and to become strong in spirit, and he lived in the deserts until the day of his public appearance to Israel." Luke 1:80. May all my good intentions be filled with the truth to grow strong in the Grace, not to seek the nod of this place.
PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Father, this chapter reminds me of Psalm 92:14-15:
Growing in Grace, may we bring forth fruit in old age;
may we be full of spiritual vitality;
and rich in the verdure of trust, love, and contentment.
Make us living memorials to our children
to show that You are upright and faithful to Your Word;
You are my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in You. Amen.
Mary's Song (The Message) starts by saying "I'm bursting with God-news. I'm dancing the song of my Savior, God!"
ReplyDeleteMay we all dance the song of our Savior this day and live fully satisfied in the mercy and Grace songs of Christ Jesus in our lives. His waves of mercy and rhythms of grace are the music in our lives. May our souls sing His Song and magnify His Name.
Amen Annette G! xoxo Annette H
ReplyDeleteToday's passage is what I read last night for Bible Study. I don't know where to begin with how today's passage touches me and blesses me so.
I pray we continue to bear Kingdom fruit until we reach the end of our days. I pray our words and actions glorify Christ.
