God longs for a relationship with every one of us.
God lives to have compassion on each and every one.
Ezekiel 36:26-28 God will sweep away all our idols, if we let Him have full sway. "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances."
Ezekiel 34:4 It's a telling verse! Feed the Flock!

Broken
Lost
Who is searching for these people?
Who is seeking them out?
In my world,
t.h.e.s.e.
are the throw-aways, the unrecognized, the unloved.
They are not the people that Twitter loves.
They are not the people that get an interview.
Lord, have mercy on us all. May we see Things from your Perspective.

You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God."
Because of His Holy Name
ReplyDelete"I am not doing this for your sake,” declares the Lord God, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your ways, O house of Israel!"
God didn't save Israel because they deserved it or they had repented and reformed their ways. Twice in chapter 26 He says "I'm not doing this for your sake." He doesn't save us this day for any reason having to do with our own behavior, but He loves us and His Son paid the price for us. My hearts was stone, and He received it, cleanses it and restores me to be fit for His Kingdom. Not because I deserve it. He says He is saving them and keeping them from famine, so that "then they will know that I am the Lord." He saves for His Name's sake. He redeems because He can. He alone has the power to do so. He alone is holy and we are not.
But we have the unspeakable privilege of being His people and He is Our God.
Because of His Name.
Because of His Son.
May it be said of each of us Because of beautiful Grace, this life lived out.
