August 26 "Threshing Heifers/ Neighing Stallions" Jeremiah 50:11

The people have become like lost sheep.  They have "trusted their own treasures."  They look rather glad, even jubilant---those who pillage God's Heritage, skipping about like a threshing heifer, neighing wildly like stallions. Jeremiah 50:11. These people do not need good advice; they need to find a path of holiness, a path of faithful service.  "They rejected the Only Cure that exists.  Unbelief is the ultimate sin where there can be no forgiveness." Professor Hall at DTS.

PRAYER FROM PSALMS
Psalm 80:16 - There is a judgment, O God.  Help us to live this day like it was our last and love this day like it is our first.  May we see things from Your Perspective.

  1. I pray Christians return and remain on the path of holiness that we do not stray. Our actions/inactions speak loudly to non believers. I pray our words and lives line up with the Word of God.

  2. The Lord, the habitation of righteousness.
    The Lord, our resting place.
The Lord, the hope of our fathers.

Lost sheep. Arrogance. Lack of forgiveness. Are there no heirs left to receive the Kingdom?

The Lord is a God of justice.
The Lord longs to be gracious to you.

Amen to your prayers, Bev and Annette. May we live this day well in Christ. May we fall into Him and ask for mercy. We fall short, but Grace restores.

"Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!" Isaiah 30:18
