March 31 "No Shame Here" I Sam 15:13

In the distance, there is a sound...
It's the bleating of sheep...

Samuel came to Saul, and Saul said to him, “Blessed are you of the Lord! I have carried out the command of the Lord.” I Sam 15:13. [It is so interesting that Saul immediately defends his actions. Do we do the same things? Let's give the person everything they want to hear. What would love do?] But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?”

On this Easter Sunday morning, a Holy God is wooing us to Himself. Always. He is committed to our holiness whatever the cost. He paid for it. It is done. It is finished. He is Risen. All of creation hinged on the empty tomb. He is Alive.

May we hear loudly the bleating of sheep. May we hear even way more loud, the Voice of our God over all our lives. We no longer live in shame and darkness over bleatings.

Chosen. Grasped. Called. Forgiven. Justified. Kept. Loved.

Hallelujah, Christ arose!
