January 25 ... Exodus 22 - 24 "Little By Little 23:30"

Exodus 23:30 - "Little by Little." I will drive out your enemies till you increase enough to take possession. This means much to me TODAY because I want to be delivered from my problems TODAY. HE must increase; I must decrease. This is about transformation not information, isn't it? It's not about knowing it's little by little. It's all about living and walking and trusting this day that my Great God will take care of me in my wilderness where I have no water. Exodus 15:26 said: You are my Healer in my Wilderness. This is no surprise to God where I am this day. Little by Little. And I love the verse right before that: "See, I send an angel to guard you along the way and bring you to the place I prepared for you." And maybe that prepared place is really the Wilderness.

  1. Michelle, a package was waiting for me when I returned home this morning! Thank You for a sweet gift that will remind me of you all year long. I have it up on my wall. What a surprise! It's so neat that God brought you guys back into my life. My boy you so enjoyed many years ago is now married. It went way too fast!

  2. The takeaway this weekend for me was not just to let reading or memorizing His Word be a head exercise. If His Word is not the catalyst that changes me from the inside out, what I am doing is an exercise in futility. The transformational power of His Word is our best offensive weapon to grow in Christ-likeness. I want to meditate each day on the day's verses and let them do their work within me.

I love what you said, Bev, little by little, walking in the wilderness where we have no water that sustains, only Living Water to see us through, the only kind that satisfies that we may never thirst again. This dying to self thing really has to be more than lip service. Oh, for more of Him, and less of me!

  3. Bev,

I'm glad you got the package. It took me awhile to track down your address. I hope you had a wonderful weekend at the SM Siesta.
Rod and I would love to see you sometime. I guess we'll have to drive over and come to you.

    Know that you are loved!

  4. "Little by Little", Step by Step, Day by Day.........oh how I, too, want my problems and the thorns in my side to be taken care of yesterday. The Lord really used this passage to remind me this is a process, and it is a transformation and not just information.

I love how Annette put it, "The transformational power of His Word is our best offensive weapon to grow in Christ-likeness. I want to meditate each day on the day's verses and let them do their work within me."
