251 - "The King Died As A Patient; The Prophet Woke From Being A Patient" Isaiah 3-4; 2 Corinthians 12

In the year King Uzziah died, Isaiah saw God. What happened that his eyes were opened? Uzziah had been king for 50 years. Big news. Israel's king is now dead. Israel's God still lives. "From the mortality of great and good men we should take occasion to look up with an eye of faith to the King eternal, immortal." Matthew Henry.

And Isaiah sees God sitting on a throne. A throne of glory, of government, of grace. May we worship, submit to authority, and come boldly to the throne of grace. Uzziah died as a patient---a leper. Isaiah woke from being a patient. He came alive. And we can shed whatever it is that binds us tight.

It happened to me back in 2006 and I know the exact moment. The place was in the mountains of Glen Eyrie. A profound sacred moment that I cannot even speak. Changed my life Forever.

The strength of Christ is made "perfect" in weakness.
2 Cor 12:9-10.
The commentaries call it "communicative" strength not
physical strength like a Mighty God.
Mediator strength to rescue me from myself.

The assurance of Divine Grace.
